North London MG Club
North London MG club night are delighted to be part of the Botany Bay ‘family’. As a result, we are one of the few (if not, only) MG club in England to be able to meet every week. Our club night is held every Monday evening from 8.30 pm, where we meet in the excellent venue of the clubhouse to gather around the bar or sit outside during the summer to have a drink and generally natter It’s not an exclusively male domain though – we have several lady members, and we are delighted to welcome youngsters as well.
The club exists to help MG enthusiasts get more fun from driving their MG’s – but you don’t have to own one to join. If you are thinking of buying an MG we are delighted to provide advice, and can normally find a knowledgeable member to inspect a car and help you make a decision. Our cars (and expertise) run from a 1954 MG TD to modern saloons.
In the clubhouse we have events such as speakers, quiz nights, film nights, and pretty well anything we can think of to entertain members, especially during the winter months when our cars are not used as much. During the summer we are able to sit outside on the attractive veranda, and we hold events in the grounds – a summer BBQ, and driving skills nights are annual events. We are always open to suggestions from members about what events to hold.
We attend various classic car shows during the year, organised motoring runs, drives to various places of interest and classic car meetings, pub runs on Sundays for lunch at country pubs - and more. We normally have a club trip each year - in recent years we've been to Ireland (twice), the Peak District and North Wales. For those who want to go further afield, we've had an occasional foreign excursion - Bruges, Honfleur and Le Mans for instance,

Our annual subscription fee is £32.00 to 31st March (pro rata for a part year) plus £5.00 one-off joining fee.

The club has a wide range of beers including a couple of decent real ales, soft drinks and coffee. There is also a very nice terrace area, perfect for sitting outside on a warm summer evening. Members of the MG club are also affiliate members of the Cricket Club and can use the facilities at any time.
